Happy Mail :)

I am smiling ear to ear, because I got some happy mail today! A custom license plate frame that ordered from Monster Promos came. It has my June Tree designs logo on top and my web site on the bottom. I am hoping that this will be a good way of advertising.
It is so cute, though, and I had my hubby put it on our car right away. :)

Also, I wanted to say just how awesome Etsy is! I am so obsessed. I have ordered some extra cute things for my friends for Valentine's day and have ordered some great custom things for my business. I will make a post of them when they arrive in the mail!

I am now advertising! This is a big step for my shop. I am on Tip Junkie's Mom-prenuers shops. It is a list of different shops of stuff made only by women! It is awesome, check it out. :)

Such Kindness

I have recently bought some necklace chains on Etsy from ImJewelee and she wrote me a message yesterday that was so sweet. She said she was checking out some of her customers' shops and that she really liked mine and "hearted" it. It was so encouraging to hear someone say something so nice about my shop.
Then she said that she hopes I sell a lot of things. I wrote her back saying thank you and told her how I am new to selling on Etsy and didn't really know how to get the word out about my shop.
So, she wrote me back with some tips! I just really appreciate her being so kind to me.
I am excited to try out some of the tips she gave me and see if any results come about from it!

Yay!

I always get so giddy when I order things from Etsy. I check the mail everyday in hopes that my package will be there. I most recently made an order for a custom stamp with my business name and web address on it. It was made by LoveToCreateStamps and I am so so pleased with it! When it arrived in the mail I was jumping up and down and yelling out "Yay!!" My husband was a little embarrassed by me seeing that we were outside when this occured. haha.

With the stamp I have created some business cards and therefore need something cute to carry it in. :) (hehe)

So, I ordered this business card carrier from Baffin Bags. Too cute!

I can't wait for it to arrive. Now, I just have to be patient. :)

How?

It is so hard to start a business. How do you get the word out? How do you stick out from the crowd?
I feel like I am starting to fade into the "Etsy Abyss" and I have only had my shop up for a few weeks.
I guess I need to focus on the virtue called patience. It is just hard to know how to be successful. I don't have a business degree, all I have is a desire to create.
All I know is that I will try and try again, and hopefully I will get more sales! :)

A New Route

After some thought and a little creative juice I have started making flower necklace pendants. I am so excited to try something different and they turned out great, if I do say so myself. haha.

I made a few "test" pendants and wore them around for a couple of days and they passed the test. So, you will now find some of them in my shop!

I always like trying new things and so I am very pleased with how this new route came out.

A First for EVERYTHING

Well, this is my very first post for my June Tree Designs blog. I figured that having a blog for my shop and my vision wouldn't hurt. :)

I have been making things for quite some time now, but I have been taking photos for even longer. I finally decided to try and sell some of the things I have done. Who knows, someone might like what they see.

I started my Etsy shop about 2 weeks ago and have had 4 sales, so I am pretty excited about that! I am hoping for more, of course, but this is just the very beginning. So, we will see. Only time will tell.

But until then, enjoy. :)
